[Rseding91] [0.15.10] Crash when canceling multiplayer join

Post by Jon8RFC »

When attempting to join a multiplayer game, but hitting ESC to cancel while it was in the "connecting to server" phase, the game crashed and gave me the pop-up about the crash.

Crash log attached.

I was actually trying to get a screenshot of the issue that you can't cancel a map download. I got the screenshot. Before I was going to post that bug report that the game still connects you to a multiplayer game and continues to download the map, I decided to see what would happen if I tried to load up my save while the map was loading. It then crashed to desktop without displaying the error window.

This was a different crash under different circumstances, but somewhat related:
What I did was join a multiplayer server, waited for the download to start, hit ESC, went to load my save and I was accidentally in the multiplayer load save to host a server, that window popped up for me to setup the server, and I don't know if it crashed shortly after that, or if I clicked to launch the server and it crashed. Attached is the log of the crash to desktop without the pop-up window mentioning the crash.

Here's a screenshot showing that you're unable to cancel joining a server (should all of these be separate bug reports?). You can only cancel once you've begun the "catching up" phase:

To go along with this specific crash (not the crash in the first post), I tried to reproduce it by loading my save as a server host, launched the server and received a normal crash and error:

And here's a different crash and screenshot of joining a multiplayer server, hitting ESC, and going back to load a single player map:
http://imgur.com/a/V1BaW
Attached is the log.

Each post and crash log are unique conditions, and not simply reproducing the crash of the first post, so I hope that is not overlooked.
