Tested with 2.0.15 and experimental 2.0.16 with and without Space Age.
When placing walls around a ghost, manually placing a corner, the ghosts of some buildings disappear. This only happens to the inside of the corner, and not to all ghosts.
This happens when manually placing the corner wall, in cases where there is no ghost in the corner spot. When there is a ghost already and the wall is manually placed over it, it does not happen. The adjacent walls being ghosts does not change the behaviour. Orientation of the ghost building does not seem to matter.
A non-exhaustive list of ghosts that are affected: solar panels, refineries, accumulators, landing pads, chests.
Unaffected buildings I tested: assemblers, steam engine, rocket silo, chemical plant, wall, furnaces, heat exchanger, rails. I did not test it with all buildings, specifically those on other planets.
The intended behaviour is that the ghosts are preserved, since there is no obstruction. This is the case when a ghost wall is already present before placing, or when a ghost is placed instead.
The video shows that the presence of a ghost in the corner spot matters, but the adjacent walls being blueprints does not.
The configuration of walls/ghost. Building order here does not matter.
The wall to be placed manually.
The ghost disappears.
