Flow rate for fluids and heat

Post by Grawp »

Hello. I've been unsuccessfully searching the forum and the wiki and the internet for some info regarding flow rate.
The only things I've found are:
  • Heat won't flow if there is not at least 1°C difference between components.
  • Flow rate depends on pressure levels between components. But I haven't found any coefficients, nothing.
Everbody seem to be concerned just with an equilibrium state! But I'm interested in transients.
I want to calculate how much time does it takes for two tanks to equalize their levels after connecting them with pipes of various length and shape.
How much time does it takes for the farthest heat exchanger and turbine to reach operational temperature after reactor cold start, etc.....

Does anybody where to find more information regarding flow rate... resistance etc.?

(from water)
pressure_to_speed_ratio = 0.4,
flow_to_energy_ratio = 0.59

Neither pressure_to_speed_ratio nor flow_to_energy_ratio exist anymore. As far as I understand, all fluids act identically in the current model.
