what does the crafting speed value actually mean? for instance if an item has a crafting speed of one second and the crafting speed of a factory is 0.5 does this mean it actually takes two seconds to make?

The formula might be something like Craftingtime / Craftingspeed. So if you craft something with 3 seconds craftingtime and do this in an assembling machine 1 (0.5 craftingspeed) it takes 6 seconds (3secs / 0.5).
