Re: Train taking blocked exit
try adding a chain signal before the stacker.
Re: Train taking blocked exit
I'm no train expert, but why is the stacker two way? seems like it would do this all the time

Re: Train taking blocked exit
What are those red arrows on the track?
It looks like they say the train in the third stacker from the top wants to go through the blocked train. That would only leave the blocked train one way to go, the way it chose.
I think I see a chain signal at the top of the stacker that should be moved a few tiles north so it includes the top stacker.

They are visible because the cursor hovers over that train.Greybeard_LXI wrote:What are those red arrows on the track?

Why is the stacker 2-way? Pick a direction and stick with it. The purpose of a stacker is to pull trains off the track while they wait for a station. You generally don't need a stacker to return to the track.
The general setup for a double headed train is to enter through the stacker, go directly into the station, back out, and return to the track. You can ALSO make a train drive directly through in a giant loop, but loops can cause other trains to go places you don't expect. Dead end stations make a double headed train system reliable.

Re: Train taking blocked exit
is that a block or a chain signal after the first exit on the left side?
maybe thats why the train used that exit.
place a chain signal in front of the first exit!

Maybe.
There are 10 types of people: those who get this joke and those who don't.

Stations on a dedicated track with an end loop work just as well. Normal trains won't path through that, and single headed trains are faster... more efficient to do it that way unless you're critical on space. I used to do dead end stations for early mines but an end loop at those works just as well. Looks fugly but it's efficient.bobucles wrote:Why is the stacker 2-way? Pick a direction and stick with it.
