Biter mechanics [Answered]
When pollution gets too high do biters spawn near your stuff or run from a nest at you? Thanks.

Ok thanks

I want to add some precisions about this.
FIrst, biters will attack your base whenever the pollution is high enough.
Then, when you play, there are some spots that are calculated for some eventual bitter base expansions. Usually they come with a group of very few small biters near your base, but not near enough so they don't get killed by your defenses, and then the biters die and turn into a base (think about the zergs from starcraft )

I just noticed while playing that I would receive attacks from places I've cleared before and I realised they had made a new base inside my polution range.Nirahiel wrote:I want to add some precisions about this.

How can you prevent them from making a base inside your polution range, so that you can be attack free?

Well, the way it works is some biters gather up. A small amount.
They go off and find a spot to look for. The spot is normally like 3 chunks away from biters and you. So if you completely wall them out, they cannot get in.
You can set up defences around the area you dont want them.
You can open up the debug menu with f4. Click always tab (will always be shown) and near the bottom is chunk candidates for spawning)
Or you can click f6 or f7 and.it should show it too.... with tons of other stuff that will slow down your game.
To close it, just redo or repress what you did.
