compressed red circuit setup?

Post by brunzenstein »

can this red circuit setup be even more streamlined or more compressed as shown?

Looking good, however i estimated when its run at max production there would be starvation at the red circuit. Ive tried the blueprint and the lowest red circuit assembler gets a just in time delivery of copper wire, its tight but works fine. When you upgrade it to mk3 assemblers or with speed modules the timing is off, however its easy solvable by adding a additional inserter and underground belt at the fourth copper wire assembler.

With Assy 3 you can feed all those Advanced circuits with 1 Electronic Circuit and 1 Copper Cable(green needs 2). Like your design though think it could be shrunk. If you simply belt in green from your primary green plant you could do something like...and fit twice as many Advanced Assemblers.

Unadjusted (not moduled) ratio for Assy 3 should be
6 Red Circuit
1 Plastic
1 Green
1 Cable (green needs 2)

For Assy 2 its like
10 Red
1 Plastic
2 Green
2 Cable (green needs 3)
But I always plan my base around replacing everything with 3's

No - the point is also to have the green circuits produced locally on a minimum footprint

These are separate goals.

green circuits produced locally
and/or
minimum footprint

You can accomplish one without the other though I understand if your goal is both. The first image I posted above is twice as space efficient as your mock-up by using the green circuits the base is already producing.

Thanks - that did the trick
