Hi guys,
I'm stuck with this rail routing. I could just make two separate railways but that's not efficient, and as you can see there's not much traffic going on

i took a look at the save provided and was able to fix your trains. here is the save back. i placed hazard concrete around the signals that i changed/ added.
the issue was that there was only one signal as far as i could tell and factorio only allows 1 train per block when they are in automatic mode. the tracks between each signal is consider a separate block as long as all tracks the connect to that block are separated from each other. if you hover the mouse over a signal it will tell what blocks in front and behind it that its a part of. tracks also list there blocks
