Can't access forum account

I had a forum account 'golress' but I can't access it anymore.

When I try to request a new password with my username it says that the username is not found and when I try with my emailaddress it says emailaddress not found. But when I tried registering again it didn't let me use either of those because they were already in use. My account on the website itself is still fine.

It's not really a big problem for me as I didn't use the forum account often, but I was just wondering what happened. Does anyone know what happened or how I fix it?

Have you tried using both 'golress' and your email when you request the new password? It would be a bit unorthodox to require both but it's possible that factorioforums does...I haven't had to recover mine so I'm not sure if it does or not but it's worth a try
