starting conditions

Is there a way to view the starting conditions for a map? I want to check I didn't turn off coal before I get any further into this map

Select the map in the 'Load game' dialog, then click on the 'Map Exchange String' button in the bottom left corner.
Copy that exchange string by selecting it with the mouse and pressing Control+C.

Then go to 'New game' and paste the map exchange string into the text field at the bottom (Control+V). All the map settings and the map seed will be filled out with the original map settings.
