I know how to get metal, science packs, calcite, and machines and stuff to the planet, but after it is in the cargo hub, I want to optimize how I get these things out to the rest of the factory where I need them. There are a limited number of squares around the hub to put inserters on. So far, I am moving my science out with filter inserters into active provider chests, and then the bots take them to my labs, and works great, but takes up some room.
I have calcite coming in but I also want lots of other stuff. Bots don't sound as appealing for something like calcite.
I also want all the machines on all the planets, but I don't want 100,000 foundrys on Nauvis, if you know what I mean.
What are your suggestions for automating the distribution from cargo hub to factory?

Bulk inserters to Active Provider Chests to empty the cargo hub.
Belt/Train/Bot things around your base.
How to keep your landing pad from continually requesting stuff from orbit?
Constant Combinator with what you need on planet.
Multiple by -1
Add count of what you have on planet. (Via roboport import, or radar network for far flung empires)
Multiple by -1 again.
This will give you a positive value of anything you have less than what is in your constant combinator. Wire this result to the landing pad with set requests.
