[2.0.14] Demolisher don't die, not for uranium cannon shells, or even a nuke!

So, I have a question, wasn't the demolisher supposed to take at least damage from the uranium cannon shell?
It just out heal uranium magazine and uranium cannon shells...

Seem people saying that one should shot in a straight that would pierce all his segments, tried from head on, from the back, sideways. There is no piercing, ammo do damage to the first hit box only.

Is it really supposed to not take damage from uranium cannon shell? Or is it like only nuke now? That doesn't seem balanced at all...

That seem rough and it's just a small one, do you have any research to increase damage ? it's hard to see on the video and they have a very strong impact on cannon shell

you can try the explosive uranium cannon shell, those with the red tip, maybe ? I've seen several successful kills with tanks attacking from the side or back to avoid the damage from the head, it was done in a few shot with research.

You can use Tesla turrets, on small or medium demolisher that still work, with a bunch of 50 and some level of electric weapon damage it's very effective on small ones.

also seen : squares of 100's manually fed gun turrets, and in both case the worm can be lured there.

Yah I see everyone saying that but seems it just doesn't work anymore.

how much research do you have on explosive ammo and / or physical ? do you have a save game ?

am I reading this wrong? Wasn't they supposed to be almost immune to explosive damage?

Explosion like nukes are more effective on the head, cannon shell too but it's too risky to attack the head with them.

Segment body has different resistance, it's tricky to see in the action x)

I think you need to research a few level of damage, one level for physical projectile damage improve the damage of cannon shell by 130% of the base value every time until space science , but even then the scaling is very good.

I still think this isn't quite right, mainly what you need is shoot speed, then physical damage helps but speed is the key.

Having a small worm be able to survive a nuke right in the head, and also take a nuclear cannon shell head on and heal faster than you can shoot, without cannon shell speed. It is just insane. Would be ok for a medium or big worm, but for a small?

Still think this is not quite balanced.

you also need to target the head... also put energy shield in your tank, also use a uncommon or rare tank. And to finish you should have more damage and shot speed upgrade. You should have at least the physical projectile damage 5 and weapon shooting speed 5 it's blue science.

Spidertron + nukes, small ones die one hit no matter where you hit, medium ones die one hit on the head, two or more if not aimed correctly.

Big demolishers need like 5-10, depending if you were able to hit the head.

I killed them almost exclusivelly with nukes, but the spidertron helps very much because you have 4x the rate of fire you have with the character, so you can chain nukes without allowing the demolisher to regen much health.

Normal rockets are useless for medium and big ones, the electric gun is effective up to medium ones, smg ammo is useless... maybe the railgun, but I've not tried. My only sollution was nukes and as these can be crafted "early" game, you can use them as soon as you reach vulcano, at least we had the tech after we landed first time on vulcano (first planet), I think it required metallurgic chests, but we definitivelly got it before going to fulgora or gleba.

Killed my first demolishers this weekend. Did it with 6-8 gun turrets with uranium ammo, a few poison capsules, a minefield and a few rockets from my hand held rocket launcher. No tank involved. Just a few turrets and mines destroyed befor it died.
Not sure what my damage upgrades are, but probobly kind of high. I did go to Fulgora first and I've taken my time.

Pay attention to the resistances and pick your weapons accordingly. And don't just use one weapon, combo is life... or death in this case :D
