Is there a way to scale the recipe icons in the map?
Recipe icons "spill" over the edge of their assemblers.
I want them about 20% smaller so they don't overlap the edges of their machines/each other to make them more legible.
Is this a problem with my modded game? (py alien life)
Google has not had an answer for me. I can't find a `settings > interface` option.

Are those "tags" added from the map view ?
There is a an icon under the minimap that allow to trigger icons over assembly/chemplant to show what they produce. It look like your screenshot but those where not that big in memory so i'm not sure.
Maybe it has to do with the resolution at which you are playing, or as you say some mods having side effects if you are already using the later.

They are not tags. enable recipe icons in the map view and every assembler will show on the map, same as using 'alt' in the normal view.
(imho these could be triggered by the same key, they do the same thing.)

Looks like pY?
Maybe pY modders can help? Ive never seen anything that big in map view, might be in their icon settings?

Icons are bigger than machines in vanilla too. It is easy to see when machines are directly next to each other.

Then they look weirdly big to me, because in your picture it seem like "icons" are as "big" as maybe 10 or 12 of those single pixel representing a pipe / belt / tile.
Whereas on the picture from atomizer, the icons that represent green circuit seem to only be the size of 3 of those.
I agree they can be bigger, or sometimes placed with an offset that makes them drawn a little over over neighbouring entity, like on the refinery, but i still think it's something different, something "wrong" with the first screenshot.

Py has bigger machines, so the icons are also bigger and overlap more when close to each other. Unlike vanilla, Py likes to use all available space, making this more noticeable. I couldn't find any modding interfaces to control specifically how recipe icons appear on the map either.
