PvP Discussion

Hi all,

I've been playing the PvP scenario with friends recently, but it seems like the best strategy is just rushing for grenades, tanks, maybe some combat robots. Are there any alternate strategies people use? Alternatively, does anyone tweak the settings the settings to make other strategies viable, or the game more fun?

Reliable defense on the default settings seems to be difficult. I've been considering landmines, and while they take out a careless or unarmored player, a problem seems to be the fact that they can still be seen by the enemy team. I've been investing in flamethrower turrets to keep biters at bay, and though I haven't gotten the chance to test them on players yet, my suspicion is that they probably have issues too related to their slow aim. Laser turrets come too late in the tech tree to seem much use.
