Clarification wanted on cargo pod limitations

Clarification wanted on cargo pod limitations

I'm hitting very frustrating throughput issues regarding transfers between planets and platforms that cannot be explained by the information available in-game. There are 2 separate situations:

1. Sending items from silos to a platform is slow. I have 256 rocket silos full of biter eggs. I have 260 cargo bays on a ship. The eggs get send at approximately 2 rockets/s max. It's consistent and does not depend on whether I'm exporting items down from that platform or not. The rocket silos show ready to launch but do not launch. This is made more weird by the fact that my vulcanus science utilizes the same approach and there all rocket silos send the cargo immediately. What gives?

2. Sending items from a platform to landing pads is slow. I have 900 cargo bays on nauvis and I cannot send down more than like 2 cargo pods per ship per second down to the planet no matter how much utilization there is. I'm led to believe that there's a limit of one cargo pod launch every 30 ticks, which, if true, is absolutely dumb and prevents playing the game as intended.

Either these are bugs, or a frustrating limitation. Fighting this is preventing me from enjoying the game. I want to know how exactly this system works so that I can work around its limitations or fix this via a mod.

From what you describe i have significantly less cargo bays and rocket silos than you do, but i get a lot more cargo pod traffic. Sounds like a bug which you should propably post in the respective forum if you're sure that nothing in your setup is causing this to happen.
