Additional slot in the locomotive

Why does only one of my locomotives have an additional slot for any item in the fuel section to the right of the lane?

I checked all my trains and this slot is not there... I also initially noticed this slot when I saw that I had copper ore in the fuel section, I don’t know how it got there

Thanks for the report, and welcome to the forum

Can you hover the red bar and see what fuel is burning?
It might be a fuel which has a burnt result, are you playing with any mods enabled?

I aimed it and it's regular rocket fuel and it doesn't leave any waste, I play without mods.
I thought that maybe this was due to the fact that this is the only train that carries only liquid and tried to add more cars to it, but it had no effect, then I tried to break it and reinstall it and after that this slot disappeared :C

My guess is because if spoilage and mod support.

I assume you could burn things from Gleba that have fuel value but if the train is idle the may spoil.

Some mods use nuclear trains and steam so end with depleted or spent fuel.

Yeah, some spoilables have a fuel value (not to be confused with Yummy value) :

P.S.: Hovering over the red bar should show what is currently being burnt.
P.P.S.: «copper ore in the fuel section» is weird, there's bacteria that spoils into copper ore, but it's not a fuel ?!?
