I believe that in *Factorio* `Steam Engine` and `Steam Turbine` have the same priority, but can anyone explain how these values were achieved?
How Factorio calculates steam power?
Re: How Factorio calculates steam power?
Equal utilization of each entities maximum power output.
Re: How Factorio calculates steam power?
so, it means `60 = (3 * 900 + 1 * 5800) * xxx`, right ?
then xxx = 3/425
therefore xxx * 5800 ~ 40(16/17) and xxx* 3 * 900 ~ 19.05... with rounding , it makes sense if it right
and "maximum power output" looks like real power output that depends on steam temperature, not maximum possible power producing by `Steam Engine` or `Steam Turbine`?
Looks so, I have changed the steam between `Engine` and `Turbine` and now the power production changed according to new maximum value of `Steam Turbine` which depends on temperature

Re: How Factorio calculates steam power?
The numbers on the bottom right of your picture are the average energy production of the given machines in the current interval (5 sec, 1 min, 10 min,...). The green bar at the top left you marked is the current energy demand and satisfaction, just the current game tick and no average. The other bars on the top are also all the current values, while all the other numbers associated with some machine are averages over the interval.

show the calculus please, not tautologyTertius wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:04 amThe numbers on the bottom right of your picture are the average energy production of the given machines in the current interval (5 sec, 1 min, 10 min,...).
