16.51 Can't Bend Conveyors When Building Backwards

16.51 - No mods
When building conveyors backwards ( from destination to source ) I can not bend ( R ) conveyor belts. (( placing belts on the rear end of a conveyor line ))
I have to place a conveyor in the direction I want the bend, place the belt I want bent, exit build mode ( Q ) and than bend the conveyor ( R ).

I am able to bend (R) conveyors just fine in build mode when I am placing belts on the front end of the line.

This is because it is the source side that is bent. When you build backwards in a line then place a belt perpendicular and pointing to the last placed belt, the source side of the previous belt is what is bent, not the one you are placing.

This bend is automatic, and you can see by removing the belt segment just before a bend. It will just become a straight belt.

Then you'll see that it is not the belt that bends, it is only yourself.
