Hi,
im playing around with Nuclear, and i dont know, it doesnt work for me as it should. Pretty Sure i do something wrong. But i have no Idea what.
Im watched some Guides, read about Ratios etc.
And endet here (after several other combinations):
16 Heat Exchanger
2 Times water from 2 Different Offshore Pumps, they far away, but with Pumps i have pretty much Full Pressure
20 Turbines, could be 28, but less Turbines shouldnt be a Problem?
And i just cant get Full Power out of it.
As said i had different Setups, like all heatexchanger in a single Row, etc.
Splitting Exchangers+Water+HeatPipes+Turbines in 2 Different Segements, feels like it just work still as a Single Segment. In the Picture booth Segments run at ~(33/60)/s Fluid Usage when i connect all Turbines.
Sorry if i just miss a easy thing, but im out of Ideas
Thank You

Re: Nuclear and me = Problems
You have 100% available and require about 50% of that, so this seems to run fine.

Re: Nuclear and me = Problems
Uh, im confused
I turned off any other Energy Production, so it runs only on Nuclear, it Produces 50-60MW.
Which seems still like 50% of what is needed.
So if i i need more, it Produces more? (should produce if i add more Turbines 160MW i think)
Why does it "overproduce" but only 50%?
Sorry, if that is the Mechanic it Produce double what is needed only, i understand and you can Close the Thread
Thanks

Re: Nuclear and me = Problems
steam engines only output what is needed. higher the load, the more steam they consume.
if they are producing at, or close to 100% you need more of them.

Re: Nuclear and me = Problems
Nuclear reactors consume fuel at a steady rate and output that as heat. Turbines however only produce enough energy to meet demand, even if there's excess steam available to produce more.
Your problem isn't energy generation, the problem is that you're not consuming enough energy to stress test the system. Could always build a multitude of radars to test things out if you'd like to experiment more.
