Substation incosistency with connecting

Small poles and medium poles can connect with each other with 2 empty spaces (where electricity is not provided) between them.
Substations can only connect when there's no empty spaces between them. Given that substation is already cost ineffective and it's only use is for nice looking solar panel/accumulator farms I think it should at least allow to connect with 2 spaces between substations. Not only it would make it less useless, but it would also improve a popular (cross with substation/accumulators, solar panels inside squares that from the cross) power farm design by allowing people to walk between farm blocks.

I would prefer to increase the coverage of a substation. Currently it's 14x14 - how about 20x20 or even 30x30?

And increase medium electric poles to 9x9 or 11x11 - otherwise we have "small", "still small" and "huge" sized electric poles.

Right now there's not much reason to upgrade to even medium poles.

well, medium poles do have a point, but not so much to make me stop using small poles. in most cases I'll just put a medium down if I need that slight extra reach, or if I've run out of small poles.
