Pipes to ground

Post by immibis »

This may seem obvious, but a pipe to ground costs the same as a normal pipe (In fact, it's crafted from a normal pipe).

This means it's cheaper to use them instead of normal pipes everywhere, since a pair of pipes-to-ground will transfer water about four times as far as two pipes.

Pipes-to-ground should cost more than the equivalent number of normal pipes, like the belts-to-ground cost more than the equivalent number of belts.

They should be produced and placeable only in pairs. I mean in fact it makes no sense to place one in and one out independent. If there is no out, there should be no in and the way around.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

That's hardly a problem, all that can happen is that you end up with one left over.

The problem is they're cheaper than normal pipes. Although I see in 0.8 they're slightly more expensive than in 0.7.

The upper pipes have windows. Windows are important. And they reworked the whole pipe system for 0.9; maybe they changed also that.

That would be inconsistent with the way underground conveyors work.

Underground conveyor belts should also work the same way.
