Hi can anyone recommend a book on number theory for Cset math. Or any other resources that can be of help. It also includes cryptography and computer science. The book mentioned in Cset website is very expensive and there will be 10 questions and 1 constructed response from this. Thanks

Hi there! Kinda old post so not sure if my reply would even be relevant to you. I just passed Subtest 1 on my first try even though I didnt use any particular book for number theory. What I did was studied each of the individual topics under number theory domain. You must know, proofs of divisibility, euclidian algorithm, lcm, gcf, prove some numbers are irrational, etc. All of these topics you can find resources all over the internet. Even though I didnt use a specific book for it , I confidently answered number theory questions on the test. Good luck!

Hi I saw on another thread that you have cset material from Jay's. If I want to get it what should I do?

I myself recommend Schaums Outline for Abstract Algebra. Study gcd and Euclidean Algorithm from there. http://csetmathguru.weebly.com/subtest-i-abstract-algebra--number-theory-prep-resources.html Jay Www.Csetmathguru.weebly.com
