Hi guys,
I just bough a raspberry pi 3 for my lessons but after i would like to make a dedicated server for factorio
Anyone has a tutorial "how to do" plz ? is it a good idea ? Will it be good to connect on my home's ethernet ( security ? ) (I have 100mb/s down - 5mb/s up connection)
Thanks
EDIT : After i made more research i saw that we need the ARM architecture to build a server on a raspberry :'(
And i saw also that i'm not the only one who would like this ^^
So i propose we try to touch the devs and push them to put the ARM architecture
PLEASE devs help us !
Rasperry pi 3 server dedicated ? Help us devs !

been thinking about getting a Rasberry for a mumble voice chat server.
don't know how well a factorio server would run on one.

Porting the game to ARM will require a significant amount of work. I'm not sure it would be worth the time invested. I'd rather see feature that would benefit all the players instead of a feature that will please a tiny minority.

What's more, I'm not sure it would "benefit" said minority that much. The Pi is a wonderful device, I own 2 of them myself, but I have big doubts that it would make a decent Factorio server. Not enough ram, and most of all not a good enough cpu to make it worth. So yeah, don't think it's such a good idea.mand0 wrote:Totally agree with the above.Koub wrote:Porting the game to ARM will require a significant amount of work.
