i think its another kind of issue, in 11.10 i could place turrets infront of inserters, with 11.12 its not possible anymore, the bug message in the other topic is for 11.10.

I think he is reporting the issue, that you can use less towers in a vertical line than in a horizontal line.

It is the same issue(technically). It's because you have the turret rotated. Hit R a few times when trying to place it and you'll see what I mean.

I have updated the starting post, i have added a version 0.11.10 Test, the the Problem with the collision dont exists.

You just need to rotate the turret. In two orientations is makes a 2x3 box, in the other two it's a 2x1 box.

Interesting, not sure what would've been added since 11.10 to change gunturrets.

Thanks for the notice, it is fixed for 0.11.13 now (monday probably).
