Using an external USB mouse, middle-click does not clear the toolbar slot on Mac. I've searched through the options to try and change the keybinding, but can not find an option for it. So it is not possible for me to clear the toolbar on my Mac in the current build of the game, that I'm aware of.

Thank you for your help. When I look at the "Toggle Filter" section, it says the default keybinding is CMD+Right click. CMD does not seem to register as key-press by the game... So I'd rebind it (to the same) CMD+Right, and it would only show right click. Not sure if this is normal behaviour, but it could lead to some confusion by new players.

I've changed it to middle-click, and it seems to work. Thanks.

What does "Toggle Filter" actually do in regard to the missing "middle Mouse Button"- for a MacBook Pro with Trackpad?

As I said before, using middle button, for multi OS game, where some of those OS do not expect to have that button at all is a bad idea.

Also "mouse only" is too limiting. Since all reasonable mouse actions like shift-Lclick (that was working before) are reserved, because toolbar is supposed to work same way as inventory (it looks like so, because there is no specific section for toolbar control). And if I redefine shift-Lclick, for toolbar, I think it will stop working in inventory too.

I wasn't able to reproduce this. The default binding, CMD+Right click, seems to work fine on both 0.17.2 and 0.17.18, and setting the control to CMD+Right click seems to work in the settings screen.

"Toggle Filter" was (and still is) set to CMD+Right click by default in viewtopic.php?t=50253 in 0.15, for playing on trackpads

Also "mouse only" is too limiting.

This looks like a separate issue. Is CMD+Right click (or another control) working for you? Do you need a non-mouse control here?
