[0.11.1] Multiplayer: starter equipment

Hello there.
In multiplayer only the host of a new world receives starter equipment (the furnace, burner drill and some iron).
So joining players don't have iron for a pickaxe which slows them down quite a bit.

I thought it was just jeroon being tight on resources. Seconded!

Yeah, I had the same thing with a friend, First game I gave him an axe, second game, after we installed some mods, I forgot, and he didn't complain untill he made his own about 5 mins later "Finally, I just made my first tool!" he was working in a different patch of the starting area, there were a couple of spots with a good supply of base resources around you x3


If the game can remember the inventory of each indevidual player, it should be able to give each player the starting requipment.

I've had a habit of making two picks (axes, whatever) since I started playing.
I've now developed a habit of dropping one of them on the ground on any multiplayer game I host.
Only problem is when there are 3 other people still waiting for a tool :?

Thanks for the report. This is one of the things which we knew about but there was just no time to do it. Anyway it is now fixed for the next release. There is a new luaevent (onplayercreated) which is used (in freeplay) to give player starter equipment.
