I just noticed, that the FPS of my custom-made map slow down a lot, the more entities I place.
E.g. if I place a assembling-machine ~400 Entities are added; if I remove it only 1 entity will be removed.
So after a lot of editing I have a hole of 900.000 Entities on my map.
-> Causing a lot of laag I guess (~ 9 - 12 FPS)
Is there a fix or will it come in the future? Or can't entities decrease FPS?
[My specs are not op, but I can run a lot of stuff smoothly; normaly a lot more, than there is on my Map!]

[0.10.8]Editor made Map - Few FPS cause of to much entities?
Re: Editor made Map - Few FPS cause of to much entities?
Hello, it was caused by the building smoke "puff" that was created in the map editor, but as the time doesn't flow, these puffs (smoke particles) stayed there for ever, so after some time, they accumulated a lot and slowed the render down.
For 0.10.9 it is fixed in a way, that these effects are not created in the map editor.

Soo; is there a way to fix that in my map?
Wait until it disappears?
Save it with the 0.10.9 Map Editor?
Other way?

Maybe you could do it by running the game for few seconds saving it and convert it back to scenario.

Kithoras is talking about this map [https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=5492]
The lag was present during the play, not in editor. Render was performing well.
Problem was caused by cars he placed. (In {50 -290} for ex.) Probably something with how those red sub-chunks from very-detailed view got placed around them.
Placing cars in different configuration gets performance back to normal.

I do mods. Modding wiki is friend, it teaches how to mod. Api docs is friend too...
I also update mods, some of them even work.
Recently I did a mod tutorial.
