- I am unable to create a new game or load any previous save. Every time I create or load a save, it starts loading it at first but, at the end, the game never starts and goes back to the initial screen with this error message:
The mod Base mod (2.0.9) caused a non-recoverable error.
Please report this error to the mod author.
Error while running event base::on_init()
__base__/control.lua:61: attempt to index global 'global' (a nil value)
stack traceback:
__base__/control.lua:61: in function <__base__/control.lua:60>
- Things I have tried:
1. Deleting my old saves (I've backed them up).
2. Reinstalling.
3. Verifying files integrity.
4. Crying and praying for a higher entity while trying different game modes (like Rail World and Transport belt madness).
5. I used to have a mod called Tree Saplings that I never really used. I've deleted it and still got nothing.
Could anyone help me?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Non-recoverable error.
I didn't think of this on reddit because I hate telling people to delete things, but if you already tried saves, you could delete/backup the local scenarios folder, or the entire user data directory.
This weird control.lua is coming from somewhere but I don't understand it at all. __base__? And it's 61+ lines? ...

Re: [2.0.9] Non-recoverable error.
Thanks for the report. Please check whether you are not using any 1.1 beta branch on Steam and try verifying file integrity.
Re: [2.0.9] Error in base mod
Sorry for the delay, I ended up a bit busy and forgot to report. I uninstalled it and deleted every Factorio file from AppData without result. Then I did the same thing but this time removing whatever was left in the installation folder... there was only the data folder left, but that seemed to be the source of the problem. Worked fine. Thanks and again sorry for the delay.
