[Rseding91] [2.0.7] Crash when generating preview and quickly pressing "Play"

Post by LaNc3Ic3 »

For reference, only base game is enabled.
  1. What did you do?
    1. Singleplayer -> New Game -> Freeplay
    2. [In quick succession] Preview -> Play
    I attached a downscaled recording to demonstrate the issue.
  2. What happened?
    Upon pressing "Play" after pressing "Preview", game crashed but produced a dialogue on next steps to take.
  3. What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
    I expected the game to load me into the newly-generated world without any issues.
  4. Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
    It always happens. however, I noticed that you wait maybe a second or two after pressing "Preview", the game loads in as intended. Maybe it's something to do with the preview not being fully generated yet?
[edit] Okay so, after a bit more experimenting, it turns out it doesn't just crash by following the above steps - it might crash as long as you do anything with the preview open. For example, if I refresh the seed enough it just seems to eventually crash. I also tried closing the preview prior to changing map generation values and sometimes reopening the preview would cause the game to crash.
