[1.1.53] Minimum zoom is twice lower with native 5k resolution on mac

When selecting option to 'Render in native screen resolution' and making the game render everything in 5k instead of 2.5k I am not able to zoom in to the regular level.
The zoom-in level is exactly 0.5X of the original.See screenshots. Zoom-out however is exactly the same.
I tried using zoom mods but they only allow to zoom out more and not in.

Not a comment on the bug report, however there's an option in the F4 menu to un-limit how far you can zoom in.
