[0.18.36] Biters unable to path around forest

What did you do?
1. i got close to a hive, close enough that biters began chasing me
2. i ran away
3. i ran to a spot where there was a vere dense peice of forest between me and the biters chasing me (so dense biters can not move through the forest)

What happened?
the biters immediately stopped chasing me and gave up
by enabling the debug option show-paths and show-path-requests it is possible to see that the biters request paths to me but a path around the forest is never found

What did you expect to happen instead?
i expect the biters to find a path around the forest and still be able to get me

video has default f5 debug enabled + show-paths and show-path-requests

the bug happens both when my friend was hosting and when i was playing locally, it happened every time i attempted it
during the video no hives were being hit by pollution
the visual artifacts in the video are unrelated and do not occur when friend was hosting, but the bug still happened
