[0.10.0] Gui Bug
[0.10.0] Gui Bug
Whenever I try to open a 9.8 (?) world I get the bug 'Unknown Gui Type 111'. This map does have outdated mods on, but even when disabled the bug still happens. Upon testing, ANY old world that had mods on at some point doesn't work. If I update the mods the problem might be fixed, but i thought I bet to post the bug report. Edit* Even when removing all mods from the mods folder doesn't fix the problem. Also a very old world with a dud mod on worked fine. Anyone else confused?

Re: Gui Bug
The problem is that custom guis are not assigned to the mod that created them. So if you disable a mod the relevant guis are still there.
So there is obviously a bug in the current version that cannot be avoided by simply disabling the mods...
BUT as an workaround you can try to
- load the savegame in 0.9.8
- close all custom guis
- disable the relevant mods(*)
- save the game
- load it in 0.10
(*) actually I think there is no bug in the gui code itself, but in the "gui-migration" from 0.9.8 to 0.10.0
Which means disabling the mod is not needed ( if that is the only compability-issue of course)

Re: Gui Bug
I had/have this problem as well, except type 0, but the workaround worked, thanks.
It worked when I closed the resource monitor ui and resaved, didn't have to disable the mod.

Re: [0.10.0] Gui Bug
Got 9.8 again, but where is the map folder for it? I can only find a generic factroio folder, which has maps in.

you may ned to do the steps 1-3 x2drs9999 wrote:Yes the migration for custom gui elements seems a bit broken.
Simple solution:
- open up 0.9.8 again
- disable the mod ( and restart)
- load and save the related game(s)
- you can use the save again in 0.10.0
In theory you should be able to use this mod again in 0.10.0, I have not tested it so no garantuee that the mod works in 0.10.0
P.S. I do not know if you use other mods, in general it is enough to close the related guis ( in 0.9.8), but afaik it is not possible here so you have to disable it

Re: [0.10.0] Gui Bug
Hello, the savegame that causes the error would be much appreciated.
I'm now working on an change, that will remove gui created by mods when you remove the mods.

Re: [0.10.0] Gui Bug
I fixed the problem of the gui of mods that were deactivated (gui owned by these mods is removed), but the loading problem can't be solved until I get the save, so I'm moving it to the pending bugs.
Re: [0.10.0] Gui Bug
i tried the tip above, but save in 9.8 and open in 10.0 don't work
here is a ... savegame ... i hope you can fix it.
