[0.13] [kovarex] Game completion achievements do not register at Steam sometimes

I've just finished the game in 5 hours and something minutes, and I got the following achievements in game simultaneously:

• Raining bullets
• No time for chitchat
• There is no spoon
• Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back back for breakfast

However, Steam only recorded 1 achievement out of those 4. It recorded Rainig bullets only.

In game screenshot - you can see 13 unlocked achievements:



Steam shows only 10 achievements.

Edit: Tested with 0.13.0 only, will test with 0.13.1 now - let's see if I can beat 5 hours this time

Another Edit: To others who run into this issue, here's how to "workaround" it.

Step 1: Save the game prior to launching the rocket
Step 2: Get the achievements
Step 3: Exit game
Step 4: Delete %appdata%\Factorio\achievements.dat - this file will be generated when you launch the game, and will be populated with your current steam achievements
Step 5: Launch the game
Step 6: Load the save
Step 7: Launch the Rocket again
Step 8: Get another achievement

Repeat as necessary Personally I find it more fun to just play the game over and over and over, but remember to delete your local achievements.dat file.

This did also happen to me. You can see I got 6 achievements at once and only 3 of them registered for steam. Also I was using version 0.13.1

I can confirm this happened with my play through as well. 18/38 achievements in game 16/38 on steam. The one i didn't get on steam was "Smoke me a Kipper" as it came up the same time as "Logistic Network Embargo" and "Logistic Network Embargo did register on steam. The other difference is i have an achievement in game that i have never gotten (Watch your step). I have not build any rail networks aside from a short track i place an engine on and removed.

The title of this bug report was misleading and has now been corrected. The bug is in fact only 3 of the achievements not registering at all:

- Smoke me a killer, I'll be back for breakfast
- No time for chitchat
- There is no spoon

The fact that it is earned simultaneously is irrelevent.

Still testing the other achievements

I just ran into this as well, I thought it was a simultaneous unlock as well, but after further testing Steam just doesn't seem to be taking certain achievements.

Can confirm this.
I just finished a sub 8hours run without using Solar Panels and Laser Turrets.
I got this achievements ingame:
1. Raining bullets
2. Steam all the way
3. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast
4. No time for chit-chat
5. There is no spoon

but I didn't get 3, 4 and 5 in steam.
To clarify i started a new world with 0.13.1 and updated today to 0.13.2.

Happened to me as well, achieved at the same time:

3. Logistic network embargo
4. Smoke me a Kipper

"Smoke me a Kipper" was the only one that didn't register on Steam.

I also hit the bug.

I completed Lazy Bastard, Logic Network Embargo, Raining Bullets, Steam All the Way, and No Time for Chitchat.

No Time for Chitchat didn't register on Steam.

Worth noting that the "Mass production 3" achievement in game shows 10 million vs the steam side showing 100 million.

10M seems a lot more reasonable, lol. Hope that the 100M is an error and will be fixed .

Will it give us the achievements retroactively? Or will we at least be able to reset achievement progress? (On a side note to that, can we get "Getting On Track" reset so that we can properly earn it?)

All the achievements will get a reset on 0.13.5 transition. Those that were already reported to steam will be re-loaded to Factorio. Non steam versions will just loose them.

Sorry didn't see the request for the save file Glad you got it fixed - I loaded my save, launched the rocket, and got all achievements
