Re: Do we need faster belts?
I think if you integrate faster belts, more people would refrain of using trains and just build very long belt systems http://www.conveyorbeltguide.com/Images/SaharaOverlandTop.jpg http://www.tech-a.com/Assets/Images/ConvSystemLONG.jpg People irl really love their long conveyor belts too ;P, dozens...

So would you want some sort of Splitter, only for Pipes instead of belts?

Re: Belts, rollers and the power involved
I know there's been a lot of things in the past about the fact that belts don't require any power to run and the response is usually "it would spoil the fun of the game" or something to that affect. I think having a primary motivator as mentioned by Topic Creator, might be an ideal solutio...

Re: Deconstruction of items into their components
I sure hope so, or at least proper upgrading; it's a bit hit an miss. Like being able to upgrade Underground Belts, but not Splitters. Always have those leftover Burner Items that just go unused after I set up Electricity as soon as possible. It takes longer than if I built more Burner stuff but unl...

Hehe, Starcraft, makes me think there might eventually be a mode where you play the Biters, or have pvp multiplayer ;D, or for singleplayer more economically limited Biter Bases; (I:E Biters aren't just coming out of nowhere they're requiring some sort of resource that individual bases might just ru...

Re: How little hardware is needed to play Factorio
I personally was mainly having problems because I ran out of Hardrive Space and the Virtual Memory requirements overloaded my pc and blackscreen-crashed it. Since I cleared off some stuff I haven't had that problem, but just something to consider.

Re: Gifting?
I have a very specific question regarding gifting. If I were to want to gift this to the winner of a contest, would I need to wait until after the contest is over before I should buy it since I wouldn't know who to gift it to before a winner was chosen, or could I keep a "Purchase" in rese...

Re: Science T1 ( 1.5/s ) and T2( 1.125/s )
Only improvement I can think of from an initial glaze-over is to put a splitter at the beggining of the output line that goes from the Belt-Factory to the Green Science Pack factory, in order to increase the amount of reserve belts on the assembly line. Right at the point where the line is about to ...

While I do like steam, there are some disadvantages apparently along with advantages. I don't know the specifics since I'm not a publisher and haven't really read the license agreements in relation to that. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2011/08/notch-explains-why-you-cant-find-minecraft-on-steam/ So...

Oil does not run out, it just goes down to a negligible stream after a while. Like Vespene Gas in starcraft.

Re: Can trees be replanted?
If they ever add more options for Wood, it'd be cool to have a Lumber Industry set up like Weyerhauser, that has huge tracts of forests and replants trees they cut down so they can continually cut at a pace where by the time they come back around the trees will be ready for cutting again.

I think it was implied with the circuitry thing, and I think it's like, on the top of their to-do list, like probably next 0.xx.00 update.
Physical switches would definitely happen. Railway Line Switching is just too good to pass up.

Ok so it seems like My computer hasn't crashed yet, so I'm calling this a resolved Issue :), attributing it to the updated drivers you provided a link to as well as emptying out my C Drive a bit. As such, if I have the problem again once I get a bigger factory I'll just have to ditch some more junk ...

Re: Suggestions, which are already clear
The way I see it, we have two different perspectives here. We have the person who's been on the forums longer, and has seen the same question/suggestion multiple times. Definitely, the same thing over and over again can get annoying when you need to explain things over and over. Then we have the per...

Is that because it's in alpha and has yet to be optimized, or is the memory usage going to keep at the current level?
