[0.13.3] Drop blueprint back into the book on `q`
Pretty simple but keeps bugging me: I can select a blueprint directly from the book. After I've used it I always press Q to get rid of it. However that drops it into my inventory instead of back into the book. Would be awesome if the blueprint could remember if it was in the book and go back there.

Re: Friday Facts #144 - The gfx report
I wonder what the signal with number 44 on the right means. Edit: maybe it's not a signal but something logic-related? Pretty sure that's just the ghost of the item he's currently holding to be placed. (The 44 indicates how many of it he has in his inventory. It's red because he can't place it in t...

Re: Source management and Licensing for Mods
A bit late but I'd still like to reply to this post as I'm sure there are many others with similar questions. For me, I just mod for fun, all this licencing crap to me is confusing and seems dumb (to me). I just like to do random stuff, I don't expect to ever get payed for it. I do it to add things ...

[0.12.35] take_screenshot with zoom=0 produces weird output
Like the title says, specifying a 0 value for zoom when taking a screenshot via the lua console produces unexpected output. Here's the full command: /c game.take_screenshot{zoom=0} And here's the result screenshot.png It doesn't always happen, sometimes it'll just render a random area of the map (no...

Re: Friday Facts #120 - Spidertron
That spider is without a doubt the most amazing thing I've ever seen. About compiling: I was wondering if it might be worth it for you to invest in one beasty build server where you can compile the full game in a much shorter time. Hook it up via NFS (or samba or whatever crappy protocols windows su...

Re: Friday Facts #116 - Strategy Guide
It's interesting how many people are actually angry about the mentioning of Xterminator's guide in the FFF. FishSandwich is probably correct in that many people (including myself) simply don't want to pay for it. But I feel like there's a bit more to it. Basically in the current state of the game no...

Re: Friday Facts #116 - Strategy Guide
Yay FFF! I have to say though, I doubt that a lot of players who are new to the game are happy to spend an additional 5 bucks on a strategy guide after they already bought the game. Then again maybe that's just me being stingy. More importantly though, there are two features the multi-player games b...

Missions with different goals for replay value
So jeb_ dropped by on the subreddit and commented on his experience with the game. Part of his impression was what I've read from a lot of other people before: It's an awesome game but once you've reached the end goal you're pretty much done. There is little incentive to start a new game. Of course ...

Re: [0.12.18] Repeatable Freeze Crash
For those who find their way here and want to keep playing despite the bug: As evident from the log it has something to do with biter group AI. In my world it always happens when a larger group of biters swarms a turret and manages to destroy it. My “workaround” so far has been this: 1. Save a lot, ...

[0.12.18] Crash on Linux, maybe AI related
I played a little on the new version today, got two crashes. The second time I was smart enough to keep the log. The crashes each occurred after a while of playing. The second happened when a biter attack hit my turrets. Since there is something about group AI in the stack trace I figure it has to d...

Re: Friday Facts #113 - Better rail building
@Barhandar Lemme also copy-paste my reply from reddit :D As I understand it you should still be able to do the equivalent of how laying tracks currently works. You can just 'drag' your rails in very small sections. I.e. if you want to build what is currently a single curved rail you just click where...

Re: Source management and Licensing for Mods
So.... In regards to licensing is there any format we need to follow or just clearly state what how our work is to be used/distributed/ Ideally you should use one of the popular licenses (GPL, MIT, Creative Commons, …) since those were written by lawyers who specialize in international copy right. ...
