Re: Modular tools/power tool(s)

This is a good suggestion, TuckJohn. But I think one step in between ordinary Iron or Steel Axes is needed. An upgrade right to a modular tool fitting to Powersuits is a too huge step. I would suggest an Electric Mining Drill at first. Maybe if the game changed to the diversification of areas in whi...

Re: Games Like Factorio

Ok that's a fair point. It is like roughly 15 years in the past that I played GTA 2, if I remember correctly. So I don't remember much. I now some stuff here and there, but I have no records about the handling and if the zooming in and out was going on my nerves as well. I only thought about it, bec...

made wonder for a while which two of your fans are now employed as your ice-hauling servitors.
They probably "employed" stylish robotic arms aka Inserters to fan air at them with palm leaves :)

Re: Limit effect of spambots with forum settings

Ah ok thank you for the information. I didn't look into all topics for possible redundancies. But if you just see the the title, you can not conclude that it deals with several methods of spam prevention. I think maybe a pinned topic with a collection of different suggestions and methods to improve ...

Re: Friday Facts #99 - MP forwarding

The idea to use Factorio for educational purposes sounds really good.
It would be far better than the learning / math games I know from my time at Primary School.
The promotional picture is adorable as well.

Re: MP: one player manually saves, everyone gets that save.

That sounds like a pretty good idea to me. I noticed when playing in a LAN network, that we had difficulties saving the savegames with a suitable name. Because there wasno timestamp there we just saved on each computer individually with a three digit integer as suffix incrementing with each save. Bu...

Limit effect of spambots with forum settings

I propose to somehow limit the effect of spam bots in the forum through the introduction of new forum settings. I don't know phpBB well, because I mostly used another Forum software myself as admin, mod and user, but in the forum software I know, there was the possibility to insert an interval you h...

Re: [0.10.1] locale de

Yes, probably your arguments are more reasonable. The term "Lastenroboter" could apply for too many kinds of robots. It is too vague. "Lastengreifer" would be more precise. The robot you found on your google images search, the Big Dog of Boston Dynamics, is like you said a robot ...

Re: [0.10.1] locale de

I noticed as well that "Knickarmroboter" sounds ... odd. I agree that the terms "Greifer" or "Greifarm" are far more suitable better than this. On the website of KUKA Robotics a company for industrial robots, which is known for such robots we are discussing about, I loo...

Re: Games Like Factorio

Ok as far as I can tell nobody in this topic dealt with the vehicle driving in Factorio so far. It reminds me a lot of Grand Theft Auto 2. It has a similar perspective, plus you have weapons like in some vehicles in GTA 2, too. The only point I don't like in Factorio as opposed to GTA is the fact, t...

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?

I immediately bought the game after playing the demo after the game had been recommended by friends of mine. My first impressions were that I really liked the graphics of Factorio and the endless possibilities. But I always wondered why my selected weapons were changing all the time  Very lat...
