Re: Newcomer's Negative Feedback
You are missing the point. The science pack is not the origin of technology. Its a concoction that fuels the AI in the Labs that research new things. The better grade the pack the better the results.

Re: Questions regarding rounding
Rounding is done at each tick. Taking your drill as example, it mines 1 ore per 1.90476 seconds. This is 114,2856 ticks but since order to start new mining comes in next tick its actually rounded to 115 ticks which is 1,91(6) seconds. This is for normal production though. Productivity is not rounded...

Re: The Electric network infoscreen is counter-intuitive
If you assume that, while its not true, ppl will get even more confused than now thinking they have enough power when they won't.Zeblote wrote:You can assume every boiler always has enough fuel. Otherwise your setup is fail anyways.

Re: The Electric network infoscreen is counter-intuitive
Huh? Of course that is possible. Someone just has to write code that does it. You would have to detect how much fuel each connected boiler gets, how much water it gets etc etc. How would you detect how much fuel is getting to the boilers? What if the boiler gets one coal per 1 minute? what if it ch...

Re: The Electric network infoscreen is counter-intuitive
The fundamental thing I need to know from this screen is: What percentage of my electricty producing capacity am I actually using right now? Its impossible to know this with steam engines since its impossible to know how many boilers you have ergo impossible to know what max efficiency of said stea...

Re: Smart Inserters conditions on mouseover.
True, but it does show you whether or not you've actually copied instructions into that particular Smart Inserter, or if you somehow missed it. So it actually gives you the help you need. I dont know how you arrived to this conclusion bit you are wrong. It only shows Filters so if its not set on in...

Re: Smart Inserters conditions on mouseover.
Hm. What we need here is in my opinion a) A visible sign, that this inserter has a connection to the logistic network (and a set condition) b) A function, which copies not only one, but many devices at once (drag a border around then copy to all inside). This gives me nothing. I should be able to s...

Smart Inserters conditions on mouseover.
I use big ammounts of smart inserters and i often have to copy conditions from one to another. It would be easier to check which one I missed if I could just mouseover them instead of having to click every one of them. Something similar to chests display.

Re: [0.12.9] Bots can be mined to instantly recharge
It was always like this even with normal network. Without it you would have to keep 50 stacks of robots each with different state similar to when you pick up damaged building.

Re: So who are we?
Or how about an advanced robotic explorer to prepare the world for occupation of hand-writing robots, all named Turry? (Gotten from here, highly recommended read: http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artificial-intelligence-revolution-2.html) Or one of those apocalyptic weapons that replicates itself from...

That would MAYBE be possible with script, but having many bots would probably be UPS killer.

Afaik no. There is no effect type for technology to do that in game and you can't add your own.

Plot twist. We are android sent in advance to planets that can sustain life to prepare it for the colonization before any colonist arrive.

Re: Accumulators are too cheap
Except lossy charging would change nothing except solar panels to accumulators ratio ... which is nothing but increasing the resource usage. You could as well double or triple the resources needed for accumulator and the result would be the same.

Re: Accumulators are too cheap
Accumulators should be more expensive. I have already explained why your own suggestion doesn't even address your own concerns. Accumulators are "OP" because solar power is strong, efficient, and 100% reliable. Accumulators rely entirely on perfect solar power to achieve the "OP"...
