Different distros of linux handle directories differently, the config field for read data path, write data path, and binary paths are useful for this. Yeah that's actually what I meant but I mixed up boilers and steam engines. Rather than boilers, maybe steam engines should take time to adjust (because they have inertia). Effectively no difference to gameplay, but easier to think about, since steam engines have access to the electric network stats...

Right now boilers increase performance instantly based on demand. Realistically it would take boilers time to increase production to meet demand. If this was implemented I think it would make a interesting gameplay element provide a little more balance. Right now most players just put down a ton of ...

The stone furnace and steel furnace tooltip shows that they consume 180kW of energy.
Probably related to the recent furnace refactor.

I think using acceleration curves on the zooms and pans would help a lot with making it less jittery and easier to focus.
