Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Plus to get to that point requires 500 hours of gameplay... so there's that. So it comes into play almost halfway through a run? lol Not really, this is actually pretty close to the end of a 1-rocket run. If you don't get into the realm of launching numerous rockets or doing an endgame mod like Spa...

For me, to get 100 molten nexelit in the following ways take the following amounts of high grade nexelit: Melting reduced: 15 high grade. Melting high grade: 5.9 high grade Melting sintered, where the thing that you sintered was reduced nexelit: 4.5 high grade Melting sintered, where the thing that ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
There are several places where smelting reduced metal is just bad, such that the only reason to produce reduced metal is if you're going to sinter it afterwards. When I was last looking at this in detail, there were places where this was true of high grade metals as well. The problem here is that r...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
Regarding scaring new players... The earlier the less they suffer. Pymods shouldn't be deceptively easy. Eh...there's something to be said for reducing the pain that it takes to get some basic automation going, and then throwing them off the cliff when they actually have the tools to deal with it i...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
PyAL at launch won't be balanced around dealing with biters. Pyanodon has been pretty explicit about this point. I've seen speculation that a biter balance patch may happen partway through the patching cycle of AL. So basically those of you that play with biters are on your own. Most py players don'...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I'm really not sure what sniper is talking about, the lead/silver chain lets you turn a given blob of ore either entirely into lead or entirely into silver, regardless of how far you take the chain. There is no "byproduct" lead.

Re: Mod conflict
If you want to use these together you will need pycoal touched by an angel. That said I don''t recommend ABPy, it mostly serves to make Py easier after the initial period of just getting the basics running.

Other ideas for NEW RECIPES where to use blood or nylon? Blood to iron oxide and water And how to use zipir blood to get iron oxide? Fow now i mean only ideas for PYPH and PYHT not for PYAL? may be in that mod would be more efficient ways to use blood Presumably the idea is that zipir blood is heme...

Re: 2 Suggestions
I've proposed having production science consume circuit 3 in some fashion, for exactly this reason. It's a lot more stuff than chemical science, but it isn't really much added complexity compared to chemical science. Then utility science winds up being even more intimidating than chemical science wa...

Re: Circuit 1 basic recipe unavailable to be automated?
Honestly you might as well start cranking out logistic science packs fed by handcrafted circuits. They literally cost more when automated, even putting aside the complexity.

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
The ground borer also has the problem of drilling fluid if you have PH, which effectively kills the idea of using it for niobium until very late since iirc the niobium recipe uses fluid 3. In my view the py mods balance each other together rather than really being balanced separately so this basical...

Re: Early game attention
Py is explicitly not balanced for enemies at the moment, pollution numbers and cost of weapons need an extensive review, plus keeping up with weapons tech is difficult, especially with evolution going on. If you basically turn off time evolution and scale down both pollution and spawner evolution, a...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
Hello, First Time py mod player so please excuse my questions... I just used py coal and py Industrie to get a feeling for all of the complexity. (No other py mods, only qol mods) I reached the third science pack and can't find a way to get nexelite (just with research, which needs science pack 3) ...

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Hot Air shouldn't give more than 50% boost to anything. Honestly even that seems a bit much. Hot air is basically free as far as resources go. It costs a little bit of electricity, and that's it. Maybe a 1/3 improvement (33.33%) would be more appropriate. And it should give less and less (as a perc...

No (but again if it were sp3 and the recipe was any good then it would be a viable thing to rush).BlueTemplar wrote: ↑Fri Dec 20, 2019 8:56 pmHave advanced ground boring recipes (lead and such) been moved to science2 ?

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
Lead ore + hot air is honestly pretty strong, I wouldn't be particularly opposed to a nerf to it if it were compensated by an appropriate additional buff to the initial lead ore -> lead dust chain. The actual lead dust -> molten lead numbers seem OK now. (Just in general the hot air rebalance seems ...

It never ends....The tech tree is becoming a monster now. This spoiler is a gift to you all for xmas. ;) showing like 1/6 of the whole tech-tree atm. I will say this: don't be afraid to split techs up because the tree itself seems overwhelming. Some of the techs in the other py mods have way too mu...
