Suggestion for Steam users
If you haven't already - don't forget to add this game to your Steam library as a non-Steam game, and use the Library to launch. This way you're hooked into Steam's new "Broadcasts" streaming feature and your Friends can drop in, or you can invite them, to come watch you play. I had a frie...

Re: When will it be on Steam?
I'm happy to hear this - I was confused (still am, a bit) about the Greenlight situation on Steam - I've never tried to Greenlight a game before (been on Steam 8+ years) so I went looking for this and thought maybe it had been up and didn't make some kind of deadline so was removed again, then I fou...

Footbridges?
Nothing too elaborate - no belts or vehicles allowed, just a one-lane footbridge in case you want to build your base around a lake - without needing to run all the way around the lake to get to the other side of your base.

Re: Just bought the game; What were Your first impressions?
First impression: Hey! A game for people who've graduated High School! College even! :) Second impression: Maybe I should have gone to a better High School. Or college. :| Third impression: Hey this ain't so hard....LOOK I AUTOMATED GREEN SCIENCE PRODUCTION *happy dance* *more happy dance* Fou...

Re: When will it be on Steam?
Yes I'm necro'ing this thread from Nov. of 2014 because the questions asked are still applicable and IMHO the topic can support further discussion. Game seems pretty damn polished to me, ESPECIALLY compared to some of the other titles (Early Access and otherwise) offered on Steam right now. Let's ge...

Delete Radars when map is fully revealed?
I've seen more than one person recommend deleting all your radars to save energy once the map is fully revealed. Then I learned that the radars continually update alien activity after revealing the map, so I thought maybe I should leave at least one active. Then I learned that they still scan sector...

Re: Bottleneck: Plastic production
Wow I haven't reached blueprint stage yet - that layout made my brain hurt. :( But I'm finding that is the defining characteristic of Factorio - it all *looks* super complicated at first, then you break it all down, put it together one bit at a time, and pretty soon Voila! Something that seemed comp...

Re: Is the Campaign finished/locked-in?
Yeah, training maps that's the idea! And as I said the "repair this existing - but damaged - layout" approach is a great way to do it. Give us the idea of what it's supposed to look like and let us fill in the gaps. Works great in the New Hope campaign, I could see it working even better w...

Bottleneck: Plastic production
Newish player here - I've automated Blue Science production for the first time (Yay me!) but I'm having trouble producing enough Petroleum Gas-> Plastic for my Adv. Circuit production. Could I just get some advice along these lines: 1). Confirm this? A refinery will stop production if any of the 3 o...

Is the Campaign finished/locked-in?
Is this how the Campaign will look on release? Because IMHO there's a huge learning-curve gap between the Tutorial campaign and the New Hope campaign. Was really hoping for a more gradual curve - going from "here's how to build a boiler" to "Build a fully-functional factory with multi...
