Re: [MOD 0.16] Fahrenheit 959
I love perfect ratios, but nuclear power isn't about it. You just overkill your power demands and do not bother about lost heat. Uranium consumption is negligible anyway.

Nuclear power OP
First of all, some math (I did it mainly for myself, most results are on wiki) 3 U238 -[kovarex]> 1 U235 1 U235 + 19 U238 -> 10 cells 1 cell -> 200 reactor-seconds + 1 depleted cell 5 depleted cells -> 3 U238 Final uranium cycle : 22 U238 ->[kovarex]-> 1 U235 + 19 U238 -> 10 cells -> 2000 reactor-se...

Re: Friday Facts #269 - Roadmap update & Transport belt perspective
Belt splitting is great and it makes belts more powerful to use. There's nothing wrong with that. Belt splitting is totally great, but it should be done through a proper intuitive device (like splitter), not through this ridiculous inappropriate exploit. Belt splitting is like marmite. There is no ...

Small splitter
TL;DR 1x1 splitter for two lanes of a belt. What ? 1x1 straight belt segment. Options for both input and output : left only - left priority - balance - right priority - right only. Item filter could also be useful. Some of these options are interchangeable (through common splitter), so whatever. Wh...

Re: Friday Facts #269 - Roadmap update & Transport belt perspective
New belts look awesome, but... You legalized underground-belt-cheating on the graphics level, instead of banning it!

Re: A sunday morning with green circuits
Nice but boring. Any linear 2-components assembling could be deepened with this tapering outer supply bus.

Balanсed train unloader
Uloading of 6 boxes to 1 blue belt. Fits 6 cells wide, so it can be tiled along the train. Boxes are perfectly balanced in all cases : shortage, excess, unbalanced consumption. Does not abuse underground belt cheats!!! Looks nice and clean :) factorio-unloader.png 0eNqdmNuO2jAQQP/Fz0nlW67/sU/VqgrgUq...

Re: Auto research queue
Example : if you have only iron plates, you can order belts, and all gears will be crafted automatically.
Exactly the same thing should work with researches : queue, cancel mechanic and so on. Because why not?

Hydraulic Fracturing for oil
I've seen some similar suggestions (https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=49239) and mods (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Fracking), but I didn't like suggested mechanics. TL;DR Advanced building that increases oil output of surrounding oil fields in cost of other resources, power and a...

Re: Suggestion : Substation upgrade
Big pole - 500KW. Enough for refinery, beacon, centrifuge. The problem is, big poles have the smallest coverage area -- their strength is that they span a wide range. People seem to place lots of beacons close together, so they'd have to place forests of big poles to power all beacons. That doesn't...

Suggestion : Substation upgrade
It seems to me that power distribution system lacks deapth compared to other aspects of the game. Electric poles is something that I should do but not something I shoud think about. And in this context substations are a huge waste of potential. As I've seen and experienced, substations are not commo...

Coal liquefaction energy efficiency
I wondered what is more effective in terms of steam power : to burn coal OR to liquefy coal and burn solid fuel. Without modules. I have found the fillowing math (and it's pretty fair): Liquefaction input: 10 Coal * 8MJ = 80MJ 50 Steam * 30KJ * 2 (Boiler [in]efficiency) = 3MJ Liquefaction output: 10...
