Re: wow...oops

Oh, nice. I will try it. I will probably also get irritated by it because I rotate stuff a lot and then remove it again, but maybe not, depends on the sound. :)

Edit: Nope, I like. Keeping this!

Re: wow...oops

You can configure dropbox to keep or drop your links. Mine are set to permanent, or as long as my account exists anyway. The IMG tagged links never worked in Factorio forums, even right after I first uploaded the images to dropbox, let alone after 4 hours. Anyway, I looked into uploading the files a...

Re: wow...oops

How do I upload them to the forum?

I'm looking at the post now and the images are broken links, like before. I even reset my browser (F5) and tried another one.

Re: Why i will never play 0.17

You have a point. I must have been excessively tired and irritable when I posted that, and just carried it forward from laziness when I replied to mrvn. My apologies. I have used a Corsair M65, it was nice but one of the tiny clips inside broke when I was cleaning the mouse wheel. I'm not fond of mi...

This game has music?

I listen to YT or WinAmp, so I've disabled music in pretty much every game I have.

Re: Belt placement as a sizeable brush

Sounds like a good approach, plus it would reduce the number of blueprints I maintain to do sections of X parallel belt tracks of length Y and type Z (normal, fast or express). One tool to rule them all, and in the menu bind them!

Re: Belt placement as a sizeable brush

I do this all the time with blueprints. No need for some tool that makes this game work like some other game you liked. About the only improvement I could make to laying belts is being able to set a start point and then move to an endpoint and have the belt laid between those points, but that idea i...

Re: Make save game overwrites less dangerous

This seems like a "please Mr. Dev save me from my own mistakes" kind of thread. Carelessness can be overcome. If you can manage to build a viable factory in this complicated game, you are smart enough to be careful with your save filenames.

Re: Can't see pollution?

Thanks! Red button did it.

Yes, I've been playing a while but I don't know 0.17, and it's been many months since I played at all so I've forgotten a lot of things.

Can't see pollution?

I have tried with alt-mode on and off, there is no pollution displayed on the map. Even as I am getting warnings about aliens being angry about pollution. How do I get it back? Ideally having it on the minimap would be optimal but I'd be satisfied with seeing it anywhere...in the main game screen, m...

Re: Criticism: Belt Immunity Equipment

+1 for it being a default, inherent ability of exoskeletons, but also allow for having a separate, buildable one for when you aren't using exos. This being a game essentially made for OCD types, me being one, I totally grok the "it leaves an empty space!" issue. I experience it too, then I...

Re: Factorio Gear Pendant?

I have a Flying Spaghetti Monster pendant and care a lot less about that than Factorio, so I'd probably buy it.

Actually I don't care about that less than Factorio, but I am less inclined to put it on display.

Re: Multiple Game folders, or Multiple Mod folders....

Sounds like a plan, but with the incredibly low price of multi-terabyte hard drives and even SSDs, having multiple entire copies of the same game isn't such a big deal. Examples: 1TB Crucial M.2 drive $99. This can hold your entire OS and a couple dozen large, modern games easily and will be incredi...

Re: 70 hours in my current game and still havent done yellow science

I mean, I think I have used long time in current game compared to what other people would but I have learned stuff. Everyone is different. I started a long time ago, so there were no yellow science packs, but I definitely went in some directions that some might consider unusual and others consider ...
