Re: PyBlock (alpha)

after a stint poking at space exploration, I cloned an install off to try 0.17 py. I managed to hack things around to get pyblock to load with space-exploration, but I had to make some hefty changes to the world gen stuff, no clue if the space parts will still work though. Added oil-mk04, tar-patch,...

Re: Design Questions

Haven't gotten to Super Steel yet, and my stainless is not completely automated (phosphate and some of the others are sourced from chests I have to fill), but: Iron/Steel production grew a bit organically from smelting processed -> plates, to processed -> molten, to unslimed -> molten. I have two se...

Re: How to void fuel ?

Not that it would kick in since I'm still on the 0.16 versions, but that of course shows up just after I get a coal processing setup dedicated to syngas going...

Re: How to void fuel ?

There's a recipe that turns coal dust to ash, but it doesn't unlock until much later. Before you get diamond processing unlocked (presuming you're running the full or full-ish suite) your options are basically smelt/boiler fuel, silicon, charcoal briquettes, and tossing them into warehouses. None ar...

Re: Priority Specifics

I suspect the best approach looks something like a ~3 tier approach: Prov2: produces a lot of them, needs to keep it cleared out to not block critical things Req2: most useful/highest throughput sink for them Req1: decent sink Req0: dump, large storage, worst sink (burner, etc). If the byproduct has...

Re: Priority Specifics

I may be talking out of my ass here, haven't looked through the code, but my understanding of LTN is that whenever it goes through the process of creating a delivery: It picks a request to try and fill with a train. Higher priority requests get preference. It looks through the providers to find a su...

Re: PyBlock (alpha)

Only have two hooked up so far, an early iron and a salt mine. Others in range are not too useful (nexelit, uranium), redundant (another iron), or nice but out of tech range still (nickel). Neither the iron or salt produces gas enough to really kick in yet. Iron serves as a trickle source to keep on...

Re: PyBlock (alpha)

So everything is a mess still. Lubricant is stalled in two places, one on aromatics, the other on nickel ore. The zinc borer is further down the line from the rest so it gets almost nothing. I got a trickle feed of urea into the collagen plant so that should unstick wafer production eventually. Circ...

Re: PyBlock (alpha)

Got circuit 2's produced at around 125h. It's not completely automated yet, still have to move wafers and circuit 1's around to it. The first things I used them on were the distillation columns cracking wood and coal, as the syngas supply had dried up. That didn't go exactly as planned, as the wood ...

Re: Suggestions for getting started on Pyanodon?

Looks like you've got a 0.17 game, but not all of the mods are set up for 0.17 yet -- things looking for science packs that don't exist anymore, things trying to stack raw wood. Those are probably from the touched compatability pack, and I think the deadlock mods got restructured for 0.17, so there ...

Re: [MOD 0.17] Deadlock's Stacking Beltboxes & Compact Loaders

Sounds like an ordering issue. The base stacking mod is probably creating the stack item for plates before pymods change the stack size. An optional dependency on py for the base would probably work best. Otherwise maybe a pass in final fixes that rechecks and fixes stack sizes for the deadlock item...

Just think of the components on the belt as being placeholders for taped rolls of them to feed the chipshooter. Otherwise, given how much coke goes into the graphite, the resistors would be the size of baseball bats...

Re: Suggestions for getting started on Pyanodon?

Yeah, I used the existence of that one as justification for doing it here. I'm still on 16.51 though, so there's a number of things that went into the 0.17 mod updates that haven't made it down yet, and I'm wary of updating some things. The base is such a mess of spaghetti right now that if a recipe...

Re: Suggestions for getting started on Pyanodon?

Rough guess off the top of my head: py coal, fusion, hightech, raw ores, industry long reach QoL research (mostly for an extra quickbar or two, but move speed and handcrafting speed are good bonuses too) electric boilers advanced electric -- gives extra tiers of steam engines, and primary/secondary ...

Given the ridiculous number of other ingredients that need making first, no rush there. FNEI might be lying to me, but the only recipies I see that give phosphate rock are the bone meal + collagen + sulfuric acid one, and the phosphate mine/big phosphate mine ones I may hack in a particle accelerato...

Still on .16, a balance observation from helmod fiddling: 2 circuit-2/sec needs 12.81 phosphine gas/s for light N silicon the only source of phosphine gas is wodd + phosphorous acid the only source of phosphorous acid is powdered phosphate rock if you don't find one of the skeletons or rocks out in ...
