Re: Connecting radars to circuit and logistic networks

Idea to solve radar range issue and help with performance : * When a Radar finishes to scan his area and no enemies has been detected, it put's itself in "standby", using only 10% energy and stop trying to refresh all tiles. * If an enemy enters the radar zone, the stand-by mode stops (det...

Re: Solar farm with perfect ratio.

Personally i just build solar fields and accu fields seperately, i find that easier to expand. Accus <10% left after the night? -> more accus. Accus not 100% full before the night? -> more solars I prefer having one blueprint you can place and don't have to worry about power production again. You c...

Re: Belt speeds

The logical positions of items on a belt should be able to be made whatever arbitrary number is convenient. It can be any number we like, and we determined that 1/256 of a tile is enough for what belts need to do A Byte seems also pretty convenient for coding as I understand it ? You just have to i...

It's still zoom-to-cursor in map view, right?
Yes.

That wasn't clear ...
My apologies...

Changing how you zoom in the map would be a terrible idea. That was how I was understading "ghost and spectator mode".

FFS I think you were done with big changes and focusing on bug fixing/HD texture ?

Seriously, why the camera ??? It's the most important thing in the game and you just broke it. It's the first time I'm seriously pissed about an update.

[0.17.66] Hitbox Assembler+Tank

Hi,

Quick bug found : if you attach an assembler directly to a tank (like for unbarreling), you can still pass between the assembler and the tank, which you can't do with a pipe.

Probably not worth correcting, but still.

Face yourself

Erase yourself

Re: Version 0.17.60

Sure it's annoying (I'm still trying to copy paste in vain ^^ ) for logistics, but battery is not that far from blue science and doesn't cost much. What cost a lot is rushing into blue + purple and producing processors at the same time. You need a dedicated part to produce enough green circuits. (An...

Re: Version 0.17.60

Here is my experience of 0.17.60+ ! Before I saw 4 ways of playing : Hand crafting and chest to chest by inventory mix of belts and bots full belts full bots I always played a mix hand crafting (because it's freaking annoying to built a factory for drills, you need few of them at start) and a mix of...

I think they need to burn the Witch  Seriously guys, even if it broke a mod, it could be a simple bug. You report it, and they respond : "oh it's not a bug, it's a mistake in changelog". Downtime for you : 1 day, if you played. No broken maps. Chill out seriously. It's not like a ...

Excellent idea  Thanks. I can't take all the credit though, it took a lot of community input to arrive at a perfect solution. Still, you must have hours of thinking behind you. Re: Version 0.17.60

That's the whole point : this gives bad advice to the player and don't teach him how to handle Oil properly. This is why we are complaining. It's not for us, because we already know, it's for them. Personally I have no problem with that. But imagine someone knowing that earth is round, seeing peopl...

Oil doesn't "dry out" and I guess you've never beacon'd a pump jack. Oh and, "the exact opposite of what you are supposed to do"? I object to you trying to tell me what I'm supposed to do. You may have a valid point about other recipes needing crude oil, oh what would I do? what...

Re: Friday Facts #305 - The Oil Changes

@Koub : is it possible to have that kind of pool instead of posting in an everlasting thread. It has deviated too much already and it's beginning to be pointless. I'm okay with polls, but my personal opinion is that a poll (or even the discussions that keep on going on the subject currently) will h...

This change potentially enhances the game even after Advanced oil processing tech has been earned. A way I've made supplying large amounts of metals was to make them at ...

Re: Version 0.17.60

Balancing Basic oil processing produces only Petroleum gas, for more streamlined oil setup in the beginning. This is the only thing that I disagree with, but I think it's important. You're shifting the problem for later. And not like 50h later, more like 5h later. Your goal is to simplify, but inst...
