Good point. We actually had this in the game some time ago. However it got broken and we haven't fixed it yet. If you open the yellow inserter GUI you can see only big button with the inserter animation. It is not clickable but it used to be and it would switch off the inserter. In case this will go...

factorio.com is not dead :) I hope. We encountered some DNS problems yesterday. As a result what I think happened is that for internet users that have slow DNS cache update the site might not be working. There is an easy workaround for this. Change your DNS server / provider settings to Google DNS. ...

Thanks for the save. I fixed the bug and it will be part of the 0.2.7 release. As I said the robots functionality is not finetuned so will be happy if you could do more poking around and let us know what you figure out or if you encounter any other issues. One more thing. In case we decide to go with this in the future I like the variant with "rotating" the existing inserters better.
Two reasons:
1) Less items / recipes / entities
2) Can be combined with all the existing inserters (burner, long hand, simple, smart, etc.)
