I had an idea (but it’s a bit off-topic): what if roboports would behave like supply chests? In this case: you can say how much logistic- and construction-bots should be in this roboport.
And how many repair packs.

And you can put all three items in and out via inserters. But because they also work ...

Yeah, so seen it’s not a very logical behavior. Why should a roboport supply the player. It makes not much sense, if repair packs is the only item.

But that is a more general problem, not only happens with repair packs. It could happen with any item, that you bring into a logistic network.
So in any case involving the roboports into that is the wrong way. Must be solved completely differently.

Steam: remember that steam can be turned off in the graphics menu. Not a good indicator.

I’m not sure: why is that a problem? If they use up a repair pack, then the bots pick up a new, if needed. This is not dependent on, if they use it for repair or for your personal roboport.

And I’m not sure if I like or dislike that behavior. I suggest to use supply chests, because they are made ...

Ok, that there are already translations, which are not listed on steam was indeed a misunderstanding (I play the game in English, because I would go crazy, if I need to look up how Each item is named in English. :) ) In any case it means work and costs for wube. You have to go truly long distances to use up a whole nuclear fuel. And if so you could always not set the slots to 1 and use all 3 slots. As with chests limiting the slots would be a choice in the game. I'm not talking about modifying the prototype.

If you set the slot to 1, you have the danger of getting stuck with nukular, if you have long-distant trains or special refill stations.

Hm. Btw. Refill-stations. If we have special train stops for refill (go to the next refill station, if fuel is below X), we could change the trains behavior so ...

Ya, well, first we speak here from more or less unmoded Factorio. And we spoke about which reason is behind, that this works for trees but not for landfill.

But we’ll, this needs to work also for mods. Any kind of item.

Bots improved: yes, but it’s still not enough and increasing carry further ...

I would not wonder if someone finds more (plz report here), but this one seems to match well enough.

In other words: install the auto-trash mod now. It’s really good. And we hope this will be part of vanilla at some point, when enough users use it.

If yes: if the rails are missing, how could you find a part of the track, that matches the exact rail-positions of that train?

Hm. The loco has three slots. The wagon has 40. So the loc stores 7.5 % (13.3 times less) of the wagon.

I don’t understand this discussion. Or maybe a little bit, because I remember being in situations where coal was low. But then it was always much, much, much more easy to limit the supply for the ...

I found more arguments for that thesis:

With trees you need one robot to remove three. But for laying landfill you need much more. And as long as landfill isn’t placed you lock the robots, which place the items. The chance of of deadlock (no more robots availability for placing landfill ...
