This is where limiting the search to topic titles helps immensely.
One page of results, instead of many to sift through.

Re: Connect research labs to circuit/logic network

You could achieve something similar with just the logic network. Sine you know how many packs you need to research something you could set up something so it would produce only X amount. A smart inserter removing science packs till X have been produced. Or something more complex (like a counter ...

Re: Could Factorio window geometry be saved upon exit ?

Factorio never seems to remember window position, size, or window state for me.

I keep the game in windowed mode and maximize it whenever I play. (Makes it easy to switch to things on the other monitors.)
Every time I launch the game it's position is reset to dead-center of the primary monitor with ...

Re: [0.11.x] Uranium Power

A fully maxed out reactor can produce a consistent 10MW.
How exactly? The reactoor itself drains 210kW. I never see it under 'production' in the power summary.

It's not very clear but it looks like it just takes in water and outputs water. It wasn't until I placed a pipe that I realized it was ...

Re: [MOD 0.11.3] Offshore Dump (1.0.0)

Something about this isn't working after I load my save. To be more precise, it works till I save/load. Simply removing and placing the dump again gets things going. (Maybe because it was running when I saved? I'll experiment with a clean save later and work out some reproduction steps if I can ...

Re: [Mod 0.11.x] Rail Tanker - Liquid transport

New version posted. This should fix the tracking issue. I've tested with Neotix's save so I know that works, please post your save is you are still having issues MasterBuilder.
Quick test save with the bug. (Only using this mod [0.0.3] & base 0.11.3)

Load game, (train is in motion). Train ...

Re: [Mod 0.11.x] Rail Tanker - Liquid transport

Does this still happen with 0.0.2? I thought i fixed it yesterday?
I switched to 0.0.2 yesterday but the problem persisted. (I tried removing and recreating the tankers in-case something was saved but this didn't help.)

I was planning on making a new (clean) save today to see if I can recreate ...

Re: [Mod 0.11.x] Rail Tanker - Liquid transport

I've got a positional problem for a train (dual-head) with three tankers:

http://s29.postimg.org/rzotua46d/Problem_unloading_oil.png

Train is stopped at a station at the end of the line. (Running automatically.)
The tap for pumping out oil is equidistant from the two pumps and it won't 'connect ...

Re: [0.11.x] Smart Circuit Systems - 0.3.5

This works but essentially flashes on and off constantly
Isn't it possible to make an RS latch with what we have now? Or do I have to make a 2-input electric switch?
I've seen some of the latch designs but I have no idea how to use them to make this system work.
The problem isn't that the power ...

Re: [beta] Wagons: More train stuff

Release a version for 0.11!!! And when it has no porting from 0.10 I don't care, I want better trains.
I started a new game in 0.11.3 and was ecstatic about powered rails and locomotives and then disappointed when it didn't load in 0.11.3 at all. (I never knew about this mod before and so never ...

Re: [0.11.x] Smart Circuit Systems - 0.3.5

So for the past few hours I've been trying to design a power array system where I have multiple lines of generators and they come on as needed to power the base.
All the systems I've tried to build use smart accumulators and thus must cycle at some rate. If the accumulator is discharging then turn ...

Re: [Mod 0.11.x] Rail Tanker - Liquid transport

MATHS! Thus we should see a total increase in 537.5 units of liquid volume over the vanilla carriage. (Actually more since the barrels would not have fit uniformly in the top of the curved carriage.)

The bottom of the tanker is rounded but the cargo wagon is square so you would get a little extra ...

Re: [Mod 0.11.x] Rail Tanker - Liquid transport

Magnificent.

In real life tankers are the preferred method to transport oil/gas. (Any liquid really. It's just more efficient.)
You don't have to expend energy to fill and un-fill the barrels, nor to move the extra weight of the barrels.

It's also more space efficient than round cylinders with ...
