Re: Walls have 1/3 health of laser turrets
Like #2, or make the ones we have a tier 2? In that case, we should probably have a tier 2 wall.

Re: Version 0.15.28
How about we do 22.5 degree train stops so it doesn't mess up people's diagonal or straight stations? (note: this might mess them both up but hopefully not.)

Re: Megabase savefiles?
Unfortunately, I don't have any 1+ rpm bases lying around. My 0.15 base is not up to rockets yet. My 0.14 base I attached, however it has some limitations. It does not have all the 0.15 science set up (it is a WIP, you will notice it, I'm going for 2/second), I am manually crafting satellites (all t...

Walls have 1/3 health of laser turrets
As stated in the title, walls have 350 (Okay, not exactly 1/3) health while laser turrets have 1000. Gun turrets also have 400 health. This seems counter-intuitive, since walls are supposed to take the beating while turrets deal out damage. I see a few possible solutions: 1. Add a tier 2 wall (possi...

But then how would anyone get the "run forrest, run" achievement?
Anyway, more seriously now: I'd be fine either way. Crashing into things is annoying and fun at the same time. I find it to be almost a mini-game of sorts .

Re: Rocket Silo Science Tree missing purple science
I don't think the problem is that researching the science pack isn't required to make researches which use that science pack available, but that it isn't really obvious how to get that science pack. If researching the science pack was a prerequisite to each research that required that pack, the tech...

Re: Film mode
I don't think you can hide the interface. In one of the menus, there is an option to hide the mini-map, however you cannot get rid of the rest of the UI. You could check the mod portal to see if anyone has made a mod for that.

Re: Bug Spawn
Just try clicking "respawn" (or whatever the button says) and you will get a new map. There is not swimming in the game so you can't get off there.

Re: CORRUPTION :(
This is an error with the mod, as it doesn't occur in vanilla. Ask for help in the modding help subform or directly contact the mod author (I don't know what mods you have or what mod is causing this issue, so I can't help). It could be an issue with their mod or with mod compatibility.

Re: How much rocket fuel do trains use up in a typical megabase?
You don't even need to use rocket fuel - most of my trains run on coal. But, then again, I built them in 0.14 when there was no speed difference, so I'll probably switch them over eventually. In other words, I have no idea, however I'm fairly sure rocket fuel burns several times longer than coal, so...

Of course, if you built a megabase that way there would be limited space for expansion.

Re: Philosophy- Which is larger: a book or a universe?
However, an author doesn't need to describe an universe in perfect detail; In fact, allowing us to infer things about a universe can make books more exciting. Also, an author can fit multiple universes in one book.

Re: Are there any flaws with this station design?
Well, I was even thinking more permanent, like 4 or 8 a little ways out from my base. In that case, I wouldn't really need to move them.

Re: Late-game (anti-behemoth) defense for outposts + rail lines?
What I've done is have a wall two layers thick with three layers of laser turrets behind it (substation- powered), which seems to do well against all but the largest waves. It is also somewhat far out from my main base, so there is much less pollution (and therefore a lot fewer biters) and no9 need ...

Re: Are there any flaws with this station design?
That would actually be really cool. I've had ideas of having several large stations a ways out from my base where lots of small ore trains go, then fill up one or two big trains to go to one main station, but if you could simply couple them together instead of having to unload and re-load the bigge...

When Steam gives you overflow errors when trying to display "Time Played".
Of course, that's assuming there is such a thing as playing too much Factorio. Which there isn't.

Re: assembler barrel intake
Favorite use for barrels: Heat steam to 500C. Put into steel barrel. Flight at high speed through cold, high altitude air. Drop barrel at steam turbine setup. Extract steam, which is somehow still at 500C. I agree :). You forgot: Store in storage chest for 3 days in case of a cold night. Also put s...
