On the public MP list there :
Click on the 3rd column (with yellow arrow on this example) to sort by player connected.
Note that any favorite server will always stay on top above the max count.

I fully understand the reason it was made. Still, it prevents to use some excellent mods which bring some goals in the game in MP. It's not a game breaker, i just don't use those mods.
