Hello Michael,

I think it's not the trains causing your problem, ...

In any case: Happy gaming man!
Good luck.
Really nice write up Bushdoctor.

Belt math, using lower tier belts to effect.

Sometimes using lower tier belts can be useful. Everyone knows 1 red belt equals 2 yellow belts and 1 blue belt equals 3 yellow belts, but what does that really mean? The image below shows some of the things you can do if you don't limit yourself to one belt tier. Screen Shot 2019-08-24 at 1.28.51 A...

Re: map_gen_settings and autoplacers

You have three noise functions: N1, N2, N3. You want to use one of them based on surface S. Write N4 to call one of them depending on S, register N4 with the map generator.

Re: Make power switch actually useful

What do you use to make sure that accumulators are used over steam power when switching to solar? I use a circuit-controlled power switch for that. Always thought that to be common way to do it. Aren't accumulators and solars used first anyway (internal priorities)? Power priority is: solar, steam ...

So it’s not that the train is waiting forever, it just didn’t move as quick as the player expected.

Re: [0.17.65] Train will rather wait (possibly forever) instead of calculating another route

I’m confused, if the train has to recalculate its path why is it not choosing a path without another train?

Re: [0.17.60] Unpowered inserters still consume a lot of ups

In an older thread I proved powered down inserters wake up from sleep when items on a belt pass them and never go back to sleep until powered again. If this is true, then I think that even if it is not a bug, it can be further optimized. Someone suggested making sure that your belts were emptied or...

It s expected that everything has power at all times.
Then why give us power switches in the first place?

Hello there, i don't usually ask questions online, i prefer to find them by my own, but this problem takes already too much of my mind free time and i see no end. Re: 3 Belt splitter

1 blue belt = 3 yellow belts.

If you have a fully compressed blue belt you can split it to three fully compressed yellow belts.

This will also let you make a 2 blue to 3 red splitter.

If a train has a choice between two routes of the same length and one has a waystation, will the to route with the waystation get the pathfinding penalty?

Oh, but it is a bug, even if the bug is a mislabeled button.

While I’d like the fix to be undoable landfill, I’ll except correct button text.

Undo button does not undo landfill 0.17.62

I misplaced a landfill then pressed the Undo button. Despite the button being labeled as 'Undo placement of landfill' it did not undo the landfill action.

And then you realize than an inserter can not only insert things into a container, but also extract things from containers, and the universe collapses into a singularity. https://i.giphy.com/media/xT0xeJpnrWC4XWblEk/giphy.webp The only way for an inserter to hold an item is to extract it from somet...

This does not depend on the belts being in a circle.
The behavior is identical if the belt feeds into a chest after the fast splitter.
That is what I was saying, there is no bolt loop because it (the pic above) starts and ends with an inserter.

This is related to belts being in a circle, there will always be a point like that in the circle.
Is it really a circle if there are inserters on all paths?
